The Beach in Kotzebue

The beach is my favorite place, and not usually what people think of when you say you live in Alaska. Kotzebue is on a penninsula, so it has lots of beaches. We had an unusually long and warm autumn, so I took a bunch of pictures to remind me of the beach during the long cold winter. Enjoy!!

Wonderful slide show! You're right--people's mental image of Kotzebue probably doesn't include a beach with kids playing on it. Great storytelling, and I love the first image of the three kids looking out of the window.

I nener saw a beach with out a rocky shore untill I went to Africa. My husband is from California and he just laughs at me when I call anything in Alaska a "beach". Nice slide show.
